Jaded - Chapter 1

Goku, Yamcha, Tien, Chaotzu, Krillin and Puar were exiting a bar. It was the middle of the night and they had
spent it on the town. They were either getting drunk, dancing, or flirting. Well, of course, Yamcha did the most
flirting. Goku and Krillin wouldn't, since they were both family men. As for Tien and Chaotzu, they weren't used to
being around scantily clad women. After seeing everyone off, Yamcha was giving Tien a ride home in his air car.
"Man, tonight was a bust," Yamcha said. "Why do you say that? You got at least 15 numbers!" Tien said.
Chaotzu had already fallen asleep in the back, already too drunk to stay up. They looked back at him. Boy was
he gonna have a hangover when he woke up. It took almost all of Yamcha's persuasive powers to get any of the
guys to drink. It was surprising to see Chaotzu drink so much booze. Goku wouldn't touch the stuff and Krillin and
Tien only had about two cups.
"We're gonna have to do better tomorrow night," Yamcha said.
"And how do you plan on doing that? Krillin and Juuhachigou's anniversary is tomorrow and ChiChi's already
angry enough about Goku staying out at night. He's hardly around enough as it is," Tien said. "No no no. This
time, we're taking single men. Goku and Krillin are our friends, but let's face it, they're no fun," Yamcha said.
"Well, there's no way I'm going to a club with Master Roshi ever again. You remember how many women
avoided us that night?" Tien said. Yamcha remembered. Roshi was fondling anything in a miniskirt. They had
gotten kicked out of about 3 clubs because of him. And Oolong was bad enough. He got them kicked out of 4
because he was sneaking into the women's restrooms and taking snapshots. "Who can we take that is single, yet
has the decency to keep his hands to himself until the right time?" Yamcha asked. The two thought for a
moment.."Juunanagou!" he said suddenly. Tien's eyes widened, "Ju-Juunanagou? Are you crazy?!" "No! From
what Krillin tells me, he just kicks it out in the forest all day in some cabin. A night out could do him some good,"
Yamcha said. "Are you sure? He wasn't too happy with his sister marrying Krillin. What makes you think he'd
accept us?" Tien asked. "Because we're friends now," Yamcha said with a smirk. The next day, after getting
directions from Krillin and Juuhachigou, they flew into the forest in search of the hermit android.
Juunanagou was lying on his couch in his cabin, staring at the television screen. A commercial was on. Some
interview on a famous diva. Though he had to admit, she was quite the looker. Some hot new item with brown
skin, dark red hair down to her elbows, piercing green eyes and a perfect figure. If he recalled, he had spent a good
deal of his television time watching her music videos. She would dance about scantily clad and sing about all
sorts of things. Just then, she appeared on the screen.
"I've got two concerts this week, then I'm just gonna kick back for a while before I release my new CD," she
said.
"Well, we look forward to it, Jade. It was great interviewing you and make sure all you Jade fans in the area
show up for her concert," the reporter said. Juu turned off the t.v. He had just picked up two familiar power levels.
Though they were relatively weak, they were higher than the average human.
"What are they doing here?" he wondered out loud. Yamcha and Tien finally spotted a moderately sized cabin
in the clearing. They landed and headed up the porch and to the door. "I don't know if this is such a good idea
Yamcha," Tien said. "Oh relax," Yamcha said before reaching his hand up to knock on the door. But before his fist
reached the wood, the door swung open and there was Juunanagou standing there with his cold icy blues.
"Juu-kun! Hey, how's it goin'?" Yamcha asked, failing at trying to sound anything but nervous. Juunanagou
looked the two over and walked back inside. Yamcha and Tien looked at each other and shrugged before heading
inside.
"What do you want?" he asked. "Aheh, well uh, we wanted to um..tell him Tien," Yamcha said, nudging Tien.
Tien shot him a glare, "We wanted to invite you to go clubbin' with us." Juunanagou was actually taken back
by this and it showed in his face.
"Why me?" he asked with suspicion. "Well, all of the other guys are no fun," Yamcha managed to say. The
room was silent. "Sure, why not?" Juu said calmly, shrugging and taking his seat back on the couch.
"Cool, we'll...come and pick up then, say around 9?" Yamcha asked. Juunanagou merely waved his hand and
turned the television back on. Yamcha and Tien looked at each other and left.
That night, Yamcha and Tien came in their air car to pick up the isolated android. "Hey Juu-kun! Let's go!" he
called out from the window. Juunanagou came walking out in the usual black shirt, blue jeans and orange
bandanna. "Whoa whoa whoa, wait a minute," Yamcha turned off the car's engine and stepped out. That's when
Juunana got a good look at what the two were wearing. Yamcha was dressed in a champagne red zoot suit (just
think a regular suit with really broad shoulders and balloon pants) and a matching gangster hat. "What?" Juunana
asked.
"Come on, man. If we're gonna go out clubbin', we've gotta get you in something comfortable, something
relaxed," Yamcha said. "But I'm already relaxed," Juunana said. "Come with me my man. Tien, bring the stuff,"
Yamcha said, placing his hand on Juunana's back and escorting him back inside the house. That's when
Juunanagou noticed Tien in the same thing, only his was forest green, and he didn't look too happy.

Thirty minutes later...

"I don't know about this," Juunanagou said, looking at himself in a mirror. He was in a zoot suit as well, this
was a royal blue color.
"I'd say your earring is a nice touch to it," Yamcha said, admiring his work. "I'm starting to have second
thoughts about this," Juunanagou said, turning away from the mirror.
"Come on man. Tonight's costume night at the Club Neon. You get in half-price if you come in a costume
alone, quarter the price if you come as a pair, and you get in free as a trio," Yamcha said. Then he moved closer
and nudged Juunanagou, "And, girls LOVE a man in a suit."
"I thought women loved men in uniform," Tien said with flat eyes. "AND in zoot suits! These things are chick
magnets! Trust me," Yamcha said with a sly look. Tien and Juunanagou sighed.
Moments later, they arrived in a city and Yamcha stopped before a rather large club. It's neon sign alone was
enough to blind a person. There was a line that stretched ridiculously far, about two or three blocks. And these
were people that weren't in costumes.
"See, what'd I tell ya?" Yamcha said, turning off the engine and stepping out of the car. He blew the red
feather on his hat, out of his face. Juunanagou and Tien still felt uncomfortable in the silly outfits he chose.
"Do we have to wear these?" Juunanagou asked Tien. Then they spotted a man entering the club dressed in a
King Kong outfit. Juunanagou let out a stifled laugh. "Nope. But we're already here and it beats looking like that,"
Tien said. The three headed inside and as soon as they did, girls began crowding around them. Two or three clung
to Yamcha's arm. "Oh it's Yamcha!" one girl screamed. "Hey Yamcha, nice costume," one girl said, who was
clinging to his arm. "I like yours too," he said slyly. The groups of girls around them were either dressed as French
waitresses or playboy bunnies. "Who are your ADORABLE friends?" one of the girls asked and before they knew
it, girls were clinging to Tien and Juunanagou as well. Juunanagou smirked. He was starting to like clubbing. "Oh,
you girls remember Tien. But you haven't met my good friend, Juu-kun," Yamcha said, pointing to the android.
"Oh, he's so cute!" one of the girls said. One of the girls clinging to Juu's arm, poked him. "You have to give me
your number, handsome. Maybe I could come over and talk," she said, lowering her voice. Juunanagou smirked.
Oh he wouldn't mind her coming over to talk. The trio found a table as the girls fawned over them. Tien took the
precaution of using his hat to cover his third eye from view. Chaotzu decided to stay over Master Roshi's place,
he realized drinking was very unhealthy, after experiencing his first hangover. Waitresses brought them drinks as
multicolored lights scanned the place. People were either at the bar or at a table talking with someone. Some guys
were up against the walls, looking for some girl to hit on and at the moment, they were glaring at Yamcha and his
company. Juunanagou noticed their glares. He didn't care, in a flip second he could snap every one of their necks,
but he was curious. He looked to one of the girls clinging to his arm. "Hey, what's with them?" he asked her,
looking over at the group of guys up against the wall. "Oh those losers? Don't mind them. Whenever Yamcha
comes in this club, just about every girl wants to get their hands on him for obvious reasons. They're just jealous
because girls don't even look their way. Not like they ever did," she said. "Now what can I get you sweetie?" she
asked, fluttering her eyelashes. "Nothing at the moment," he said, relaxing in his chair.

Somewhere in another part of the city, where the buildings were at there tallest. A corporate building had one
of it's offices inhabited. Men were all in their seats in the dimly lit room as the man at the end of the table was
explaining some important events lined up for their company. They all listened intently as he talked about a special
press conference being held the next day, discussing the expansion of their company by merging with Capsule
Corps. He said that of course, Mrs. Briefs would have the most control, but they'd make a lot more money and
Capsule Corps had a spotless reputation. At that moment, commotion could be heard from outside the office.
Then, without warning, the door busted open and shrouded figures broke through the glass. The businessmen
and women all screamed and shrieked and shielded their heads from the glass shards. "All right, listen up 'cause
I'm only saying this one," said a booming male voice. The people in their seats soon found themselves
surrounded by numbers of men and women dressed in all black. They were all dressed in formfitting black
sweaters with turtlenecks and long-sleeves, body-hugging leather pants, knee-length boots, black leather gloves,
and black face masks and hoods over their heads. All of them were armed with rifles and what appeared to be
black backpacks. They also had a familiar logo on their right breasts that was supposed to have gone extinct a
LONG time ago. "The Red Ribbon! But you're supposed to be destroyed!" the man at the end of the table said in
shock. "Come now. You didn't really think we'd go down that easily, now did you?" the ringleader said. Then he
walked up to the front of the room, one of the women stood by his side, armed with a rifle. "You really oughta get
better security. That was too easy," he said. "Now listen up," then he grabbed the man by his collar and lifted him
up to eye-level, seeing how he was very masculine and very tall, "You will NOT merge with Capsule Corps, not if
we have anything to say about it." "B-But why? What have we done to you?" the man said, shaking. "We have
no beef with you, just with Capsule Corps. You will not merge with them. You will fund these companies," he said.
One of the men brought out a paper from his backpack and placed it on the table. He dropped the man so he could
get a good look at the list. "Scarlet Bandeau? That's a record company!" the man said in disbelief. "Don't question
the Red Ribbon!" the ring leader said, causing the business people to jump. "If you go against our wishes, we'll be
forced to take...drastic measures. Do you hear me?" he said with more force. The man nodded quickly. "Good, we'll
be seeing you then," he said in a mocking voice and all the Red Ribbon members jumped out of the window.

"Hey, what's all the commotion about?" Tien asked, noticing all the dancers moving away from the dance floor
as red smoke filled it. "Oh yeah, a commercial said a special guest would be at the club tonight to perform,"
Yamcha had to yell over the commotion. When the smoke cleared, a large stage stood in place of the dance floor.
There was a walkway that led through the path in between the tables and men dressed in red camouflage
surrounding it and the stage, security. Juunanagou soon grew interested as a cone of smoke rose up in the center
of the stage as guitar music played. When the smoke faded, men started whistling and people started cheering. A
young woman dressed in an ankle-length, crimson red dress, slits just below the hips, open-toe matching high
heels, ankle length gloves and two red roses in her hair, one at each end, appeared before them. The dress had no
straps or sleeves and she kept her long hair down. She smirked, as her glossy red lips shone under the spotlight
and a headset microphone on. Juunanagou recognized her.

"I love you Jade!" one of the men yelled from the crowd, causing her to smile and blow him a kiss.

(No Doubt - "Don't Speak")

You and me...
Used to be together
Every day together
Always
I really feel
That I'm losin' my best friend
I can't believe this could be, the end
It looks as though
You're, letting go
And if it's real then I don't want to know...

She stepped up to the edge of the stage, her hips swaying, 'causing the crowd to yell louder.

Don't speak
I know just what you're sayin'
So please stop explainin'
Don't tell me 'cause it hurts

Don't speak
I know what you're thinking
I don't need your reasons
Don't tell me 'cause it hurts

As she began the second verse, pink flower petals began to fall from the ceiling.

Our memories
They can be, inviting
But some are altogether, mighty, frightening
As we dine for you and I (^^; I'm not sure about that one)
With my head in my hands, I sit and cry...

And as she said this verse, she mocked a look of frustration and ripped off the left and the right side of her
dress to reveal a very short red tube top dress underneath just before falling to her knees as rose petals shot up
from the stage, 'causing the crowd to yell louder. Yamcha whistled, "She's somethin', isn't she?" Mm-hmm was the
only response he got from Tien and Juunanagou as they continued to watch.

Don't speak
I know just what you're sayin'
So please stop explainin'
Don't tell me 'cause it hurts

She soon pulled out a long trail or crimson silk spun around a little, causing it to trail circle around her body
(think ribbon dancing).

No no no
Don't speak
I know what you're thinkin'
And I don't need your reasons
Don't tell me 'cause it hurts

She started heading towards the walkway.

It's all ending
We've gotta stop pretending
Who we are

As the guitarist did his solo, Jade started strutting down the walkway as the men whistled and howled.
Yamcha noticed the look of interest in Juunana's face. "Hey Juu-kun, why not go up there? Maybe she'll throw
you kiss," Yamcha said with a smirk. Juunanagou thought about it for a moment, eh, why not? He got up from his
seat, much to the disappointment of the girls clinging to him, and walked to the end of the walkway, which
happened to be a perfect circular mini-stage. Soon, the solo was over and Jade stood in the middle of the
mini-stage.

You and me...
I can see us dyin'...
Awfully...

And as the music began to climax, a pole rose up from the mini-stage, causing the men to yell once again. Jade
hopped on it and started dancing about it. "What is she? A singer or a stripper?" Juunanagou thought.

Don't speak
I know just what you're sayin'
So please stop explainin'
Don't tell me 'cause it hurts

She got off of the pole and did the splits, receiving more yells. That's when she ended up face to face with
Juunanagou. When she got a good look at him, her eyes lit up and she winked at him, gaining a surprised look
from him. She got up and starting dancing around the pole.

No, no, don't speak
I know what you're thinkin'
And I don't need your reasons
Don't tell me 'cause it hurts
Don't tell me 'cause it hurts

I know what you're sayin'
So please stop explainin'
Don't speak
Don't speak
Don't speak oh

I know what you're thinkin'
And I don't need your reasons
I know you're good
I know you're good
I know you're real good, oh

As she said this, air began to blow up from under her from the stage and the torso part of her outfit, slid off,
revealing a red midriff top and a red miniskirt. (There's shorts underneath, she does have some decency, lol)

La da da, da da
La da da, da da
Don't
Don't
Ooh ooh
Hush hush, darlin'
Hush hush, darlin'
Hush hush, don't tell me 'cause it hurts
Hush hush, darlin'
Hush hush, darlin'
Hush hush
Don't tell me 'cause it hurts

As the song faded out, the crowd began to cheer even louder than before. Jade knelt down before
Juunanagou and kissed him on the cheek and handed him one of the roses. Needless to say, he was shocked. She
winked at him before getting up and strutting back to where she began. "Ladies and gentlemen, give another
round of applause for Jade!!" the host said as the audience cheered. Juunanagou headed back to his seat, now
with a red kiss on his cheek and a rose in his hand. "Way to go Juunana-kun!" Yamcha said. This was a surprise.
His first night clubbin' and now, one of the most famous divas around was making goo-goo eyes at him.
Juunanagou gave that reassured smirk of his and sat down, "That was fun."
After a few more drinks and exchanges of numbers, the guys left the club, much to the disappointment of the
all the women pawing at them. "Whew! That was fun. Now, we're off to the Club Cocktail," Yamcha said. Juu-kun
and Tien looked at him in disbelief. Juunanagou was about to comment when Tien placed his hand on his
shoulder. "It's no use, Juu-kun. When you go clubbin' with Yamcha, it's usually 3 clubs," Tien explained. Three?!!
What did Yamcha do with his life?
The two arrived at the Club Cocktail. The line wasn't as long as the one at the Neon, but long nonetheless.
Yamcha walked up confidently to the front and told the bouncers who he was. The men politely opened the doors
for him and allowed the three in before yelling at all the other people to stay back. The club was dimly lit, save the
multicolored lights, similar to the Neon, but they were thinner and faster. "You guys find a place to sit, I'll order the
drinks," Yamcha said before getting lost in the club. Juunanagou and Tien walked off to find a table, but quickly
got separated. "Tien?" Juu-kun called out. Tien was unaware that he had lost the android and continued
searching for a table. Juunanagou bumped into someone. "Oh, excuse me," Juunanagou said, turning to face the
person he had bumped into. It was some tall, burly man dressed in a black tank top and baggy black jeans. "Hey,
don't I know you?" the guy asked. "I don't think so," Juu answered. "Wait a minute, you're that guy back at the
Neon, ain'tcha?" the man asked. Juunanagou blinked. "Hey, you got that rose, right?" the man asked. Juunanagou
brought it out of his breast-pocket which was inside the suit. "Good, come with me," the man said. Any normal
person would've been suspicious, but what did he have to worry about? So he followed the guy to another corner
of the club where he came across a flight of spiraling steps. "This way," the man said and Juu-kun followed him up
the stairs to what appeared to be a reserved area for important people, namely, celebrities. The man led him
through what felt like endless amounts of tables until they stopped before one. "Ms. J, you wouldn't believe who I
found," the man said, stepping out from in front of Juu so the person at the table could get a good look at him.
Juu's eyes lit up. It was Jade. And she wasn't dressed as flamboyantly as she was at the previous club, but the
short black spaghetti-strap dress she was wearing fit her like a glove. "What a surprise," she said in a delighted
but calm voice. "Please, have a seat," she said. Juunanagou sat down across from her. "Drink?" she asked.
Juunanagou told her what drink he wanted and the burly man walked off to retrieve it. "Thanks for the flower,"
Juunana said, tossing the rose on the table. She took his hand and placed the rose back. "It's a gift for you," she
said, "by the way, what's your name?" "Juunanagou," he said. Her eyes lit up, "Interesting name." "So is Jade,"
he said. Anyone would've wondered why she had requested his presence, but he didn't care. He was getting free
drinks and nice conversation with a rather decadent looking woman. "Hey, you wanna get out of here for some
fresh air?" Jade asked. "Sure." The two got up and left arm-in-arm, much to the surprise of bystanders as they
exited. "It's Jade!" "Oh look, is that Jade?" "Who's that hottie with her?" Yamcha and Tien, who had been
searching for Juunanagou, finally found him. "Hey, where's he goin'?" Tien asked. Juunanagou looked behind him
to the other two and gave them a peace sign before he exited. "He's on his own. I'm proud. His first night clubbin'
and now he's walking around with a celebrity," Yamcha said. "Speaking of which, how come we didn't go to the
celebrity area? You're still playin' baseball, aren't you?" Tien asked. "Well, yeah, it's just that I lost my card and
I've been on vacation for a while," Yamcha said sheepishly. "Right," Tien said.
