Chapter 1

On the surface it looked like any other routine infant purging mission. Only Fate knew what was in store for the double occupancy pod being launched for Earth, and she wasn’t going to tell anyone…

Goku looked over to his twin brother Radditz, “Have you seen Grandfather? He should have been back hours ago.”

“No I haven’t. I’ve been in my lab working on this power component B-chan gave me.”

“I’m going to go look for him. Maybe the girls can help.”

The two young men flew off towards Bulma Briefs home, Capsule Corporation. An innocent bystander might have been startled to see two men flying as easily as normal men walk, but Goku and Radditz were anything but normal. They had crash landed, literally, on the porch of an old martial arts master known as Son Gohan. The slightly older, by one hour the boys claimed, was called Radditz. He had been found with a sort of dog-tag around his neck with that word on it. The other boy, apparently his tags had been lost in the crash, was called Goku, after the old man’s father. They knew very little about their true past, only that they had been found beside the ruins of a space pod.

Radditz excelled at all things Mathematical and Scientific. This had caused his path to cross with the beautiful, brainy, and bossy Bulma Briefs. Radditz had fallen head over heels for the blue-haired genius. They spent much of their time together trying to outdo one another by inventing better things. This had led to a gravitational stimulation room, a Dragonball radar, and a ki suppressing gun. The competitions usually ended in a draw, but both would tell anyone that would listen that the other had lost.

Goku wasn’t near as smart as his older brother, but he was a lot stronger. Where Radditz concentrated on training his mind, Goku trained his body. Oddly enough he too met the “love if his life” doing what he did best, martial arts. Chi-Chi Mau had been set against him in an exhibition match for school. The feisty raven-haired beauty had actually beaten Goku. That was five years ago, and now the two spent almost all their time training together. Goku eventually surpassed Chi-Chi by quite a bit, but she was still stronger than most.

After picking up the girls, the boys followed their grandfather’s ki to an open field. In the middle stood six figures, one of which was Son Gohan. When the old man felt his grandsons’ ki he quickly turned and shouted, “No boys! Take the young ladies and flee! There is grave danger headed for ug…” The old man fell dead before finishing his sentence. The five remaining figures, known to the world as Yamacha, Tien, Picollo, Master Roshi, and Krillen, were slain as well. A small man with crazy white hair and a tall cap stood in the clearing. At his side stood a beautiful blond woman with death in her pale eyes and a handsome dark-haired man. Behind the frail looking man was a living mountain, he had orange hair and oversized features. Radditz and Goku who were easily 6’ 3” would have looked positively tiny in comparison.

Bulma and Radditz let out audible gasps. They recognized that man from their advanced genetics classes. “Th…th….that’s Doctor Gero!” Bulma stuttered out.

“Well I don’t care who he is, doctor or not, he just killed my grandpa and he has to pay!” An infuriated Goku yelled. In the blink of an eye the young man say his brother, his love, and one of his best friends knocked unconscious by the blond woman. She tossed Radditz to the dark-haired man, and Chi-Chi to the giant.

“Look after her Juuroku-gou. She is stronger than these two. I had to use full force to knock her out. The man was about half as powerful, and the blue-haired one, well had I hit her any harder than with about 1/8^th of my strength she probably would have cracked.”

Goku couldn’t believe his ears. This “Lady,” he was beginning to doubt that was what she really was, had knocked out three people and gauged their strengths in a few mille-seconds. He turned to look Gero in the eye, “Why don’t you just kill us all now?”

Before the world faded to black for Goku he heard the old man say, “Because Son Goku or Kakarott, you and your friends are what I came here to find.”

Okay that is the first chapter to l’Amour Renouvele| . I know it is short, but this chapter is more of a preface, it is here really just to give some background before the action starts. Oh, to give a basic idea of how strong our heroes are, Chi-Chi is as strong as a 2^nd class female saiya-jin in this chapter. Radditz’s power level would be that of a very weak third class, and Goku would be considered an elite. Poor Bulma, she doesn’t register on a saiya-jin scale. There will be NO more saiya-jins in this story. Sorry to all Vegeta lovers, including myself, but he is not in this story. (Hence the fact that this is a Bulma/Goku and Chi-Chi/Radditz romance.) This will be a major A/U in case you hadn’t noticed. If you have anymore questions or are just totally confused email me and I will try to help clear up things (not to mention I like the attention).
