Part III
Disclaimer: see part I.
Sorry for taking so long to write this! I was stuck. I could not think of anything to write. To help the stories come out sooner, please email me with comments or ideas at cherokeechick920@yahoo.com. Enjoy!
Dear Diary,
I cant believe that he would do something like that! Why would Vegeta lead me on like that? The first kiss was bad enough, but the second one, along with the fact that he started it, is too much. I was sure he liked me! He was so kind; it felt like he really cared about me. Then again, this is Vegeta. He was probably, no, he was taunting me. The worst part is he probably will from now on. I mean, its obvious that he heard my plan, and since hes not as dumb as Goku he probably knows that I wouldnt plan to do something like that if I didnt like him. Great. Now I have no boyfriend, but maybe I could get Yamcha back. Until then, so long.
A Very Depressed
Bulma
Bulma put her diary back under her mattress, the only place she was sure no one would find it. She was right; she could get Yamcha back if she really wanted to. Maybe she should try tonight.
She immediately picked up the phone and dialed Yamchas number. After two rings, Yamchas voice answered.
"Hello?"
"Hey Yamcha! Its Bulma,"
"Oh, hi Bulma! Whats up?"
"Oh, nothing much. Listen, I was thinking that maybe it wasnt such a good idea to break up with you. It was wrong and Im sorry. Can you please forgive me?"
"Well, I dont know. I mean, I never wanted to break up with you in the first place, but "
"Great! Meet me at our usual restaurant tonight at 6:00. OK? Bye!"
She then hung up the phone without giving Yamcha a chance to respond.
"This is great!" she said to herself. "Vegeta will be so jealous! WAIT! Where did that come from? Oh, Kami, Im still thinking about him. Oh, well, I wont be thinking about him much after I get back together with Yamcha! Now I can finally get Vegeta out of my head!"
That evening, Bulma stood in front of her full-length mirror, admiring herself in the brand new red dress that she had bought that afternoon. She had taken longer than ever before with her makeup and hair, wanting to look absolutely perfect for tonight. She tucked a flyaway hair behind her ear and with that, left the house.
Meanwhile, Vegeta was training in the gravity room as usual. At around 6:00, though, he began to realize that he was hungry. When the woman still hadnt called him for dinner at 7:00, he began to wonder what was going on. By 7:30, he was so hungry that he set out to find his dinner the way he used to, in the wild.
"Stupid woman, leaving me to go out on one of her dates with that idiot boyfriend of hers. And on top of that, not fixing me any dinner? Shes going to get it when she gets home " Vegeta thought.
While flying over the city, he noticed something. Through the rain, barely visible, were the remains of a very expensive looking car.
"Humph, car wreck, if people would just learn to fly, then this sort of thing wouldnt happen." Vegeta thought.
Then, he noticed the car. Not only was it very expensive looking, but it was very technologically advanced looking as well. It took his mind a moment to register that the reason that this mattered was no car was this advanced. None except for, well,
Hers.
Vegeta sat in the waiting room of the hospital. He didnt know why he had stayed; he should have just dropped the woman off and left. Something kept telling him, though, that the woman would need him. This surprised him even more, since normally he wouldnt care if she needed him or not.
Just then, a doctor came nervously out of the room. He was literally shaking because he was the one who had had to deal with Vegetas temper throughout the entire ordeal, and after seeing Vegeta hurl a soda machine out the window in a fit of rage, he knew what the prince was capable of.
"Uhhhh, ummm, s-s-sir, I h-h-have some g-g-good news for you," he stammered.
"Well, quit that god damned stuttering and tell me!" said Vegeta.
"S-s-sorry, sir," the man said. After a murderous glare from Vegeta, he swallowed and continued in as normal a voice as he could manage.
"Your wife is doing j-just fine. Shell be out of the hospital tomorrow morning, we are very "
But he never got to finish. Vegeta was throwing another fit.
"YOU IDIOT!!!! SHE IS NOT MY WIFE!!!!" he screamed. "GOT THAT ASSHOLE??!!"
By now the poor man was about to faint from sheer fear, but he managed to stutter out a response.
"Sorry, s-s-sir! It wont happen again, I p-p-promise!" With that, he ran out of the room to the safety of any room.
Vegeta gave an exasperated sigh. He felt weird, something he had never felt before, he felt,
Relief.
Back at the CC, Bulma prepared dinner. Just as she finished setting the table, Vegeta entered the room. As soon as she saw him, she tried to remember the thank you she had been planning all day, but her mind was blank.
"Hey, Vegeta," she said in a calm voice. "Thank you, for saving me, I mean."
"What was I supposed to do?" he replied. "If I left you, and then destroyed the GT, thered be no one to fix it."
Bulma took that as a semi-compliment.
"OK, Vegeta, next time, before I die, Ill make sure to leave behind someone who knows how to fix the GT," she joked.
Vegeta just grunted in reply. The rest of the meal was eaten in silence. Vegeta didnt know why he was being so rude; seeing as he was about to do the kindest thing he had ever done in his life.
After the meal was over, Bulma began to clear the dishes, but Vegeta stopped her. He picked her up, knowing that shed be mad, but willing to risk it. After she stopped fighting, he flew her right out the window and into the sky.
"Vegeta, let go of me!" Bulma yelled.
"Now woman, do you really want me to do that?" asked Vegeta with a smirk. With that, he told her to look down. Bulma had known that they were high up, she just had no idea they were that high. The second she saw the ground at least five hundred feet below, she threw her arms around Vegetas neck and held it so tightly that it actually started to hurt the strong saiyian.
"Woman, Im not going to drop you! You dont need to strangle me!" said Vegeta. Bulma, however, had no idea that she had been holding on this tightly for so long.
"Oh! Sorry, Vegeta!" she said. Vegeta just grunted in reply and continued flying.
When they got to where they were going, Bulma gasped in pure delight.
The sun was just setting, and the cliff they had arrived at was facing it. The bright red and orange glow was breathtaking. Below, there was a forest painted by the beautiful colors of the setting sun. Vegeta slowly flew down and landed on the cliff. He lifted her face up to his and kissed her once more. When he broke the kiss, there were tears in Bulmas eyes.
"Why do you keep doing this?" she asked in a pleading voice. "Why do you keep torturing me like this?"
Again, Vegeta felt an enormous surge of guilt. He had caused her so much pain, now, when he wanted to show her how he felt, she was very cautious and may not even believe him.
Bulma was filled with so many mixed emotions. There was the anger. Anger at Vegeta for doing something like this to her again. This event also filled her with sadness because it seemed Vegeta really didnt care about her. Just then though, Vegeta whispered something in her ear. It erased all doubt from her mind, filled her with hope, and let her know that he really loved her.
"Its hard to tell your mind to stop loving somebody when your heart still does."
Ok, done yet another chapter! Sorry it took me so long to write such a short chapter (damn writers block!) but this one is one of my favorites. Please review and send me any ideas you have! Right now, I think this whole story is going to be about two or three more chapters, but you never know. Thanks to everyone who read this, and I hope you liked it!
