Chapter 6: Test of Strength

The King smirked and walked down into the area where they were to battle. Gohan was ready, in a fighting stance, when the King started to laugh.

“You look as ready as ever! I have to give it to you, boy, you certainly are brave!”

“Yeah, now fight me, please! We don’t have much time before Frieza will arrive,” Gohan said, beginning to get impatient.

His patience wasn’t needed, though, after a moment. The King charged at him, yelling. Gohan smirked and sidestepped the blow. The King ran straight past him, stopping only when he realized what a humiliating situation he was in.

“That was not a smart move, boy!” the King screamed.

“Yes it was. It stopped you from knocking me over,” Gohan mocked.

“This is unacceptable. Nappa! I refuse to fight someone who does not respect me! Finish this boy!” the King yelled, standing off to the side with a huge, proud smirk on his face.

I’ll wipe that off soon enough Gohan thought to himself.

Nappa charged him. Gohan sighed and blinked out of the way, letting Nappa, the bald man, run past him. Gohan, just as Nappa passed him, kicked him right in the ass. Nappa went flying, hitting a rock wall and leaving a dent where his head made contact.

“Ouch,” someone laughed from the background.

Nappa didn’t get up. He just lay there, not moving. Someone from the group ran to him and examined him for a second.

“He’s dead,” the Saiyan called after a second.

Whispers of amazement went through the whole audience. Gohan stood tall and proud, a trademark Saiyan smirk spreading across his face. He turned to the King and cocked his head to the side.

“I win. No more rebellion,” Gohan said.

The King’s face went red with rage.

“Fine,” he said after a moment. “But don’t be surprised if you don’t live through the night.”
